2014 SEBRIGHT GREENWOOD BLOCK NAPA VALLEY CABERNET SAUVIGNON
Impressing friends with a $100 bottle of Cabernet from a reputable winery with a history of big scores is easy… What’s difficult is getting that same feeling of superior quality from a lesser-known producer at around half. That’s where we come in, and Sebright’s 2014 Cabernet shows better than most hundred dollar plus Cabs. The wine was expertly crafted by Andy Jones, who worked under Thomas Rivers Brown at Outpost, as well as several other projects. If you’re looking for a wine that none of your friends have heard of, but will absolutely rock them to their core when they try it… BOOM!
With 96 cases produced, chances are you haven’t heard of Sebright Cellars, but I can guarantee once you taste it, you won’t soon forget it… The 2014 Greenwood Block Cabernet arose from a small vineyard that’s located South of Chateau Montelena Winery and across from Vincent Arroyo in Calistoga.
In the glass the 2014 offers an intriguing play between power and restraint that’s tied together with a palate quenching acidity, and firm, perfectly integrated tannins. The wine was made with attention to every detail, and with each berry inspected and closely followed from grape to bottle. We bought every bottle that we could get our hands on after tasting this wine, and I’m certain that once you try it, you’ll wish you had ordered more.
