Description

2011 CASARENA “JAMILLA’S VINEYARD” MALBEC

Bright ruby-red. High-pitched aromas of blackberry, violet, licorice, crushed rock and bitter chocolate. Juicy and densely packed, with lovely sugar/acid snap to its sappy dark fruit and mineral flavors. Finishes with fine-grained tannins and lovely stony snap and lift, with an exhilarating suggestion of peach pit.  Superb retention of primary fruit here. This is as good as most of Argentina’s icon bottlings at half the price.” 93, Tanzer
