Originating from two of Napa Valley’s most iconic Mountain AVA’s, Mount Veeder and Spring Mountain, the 2012 TOPOS has married the best of both mountains in this complex, seductive, penetrating mountain cabernet.

This classically styled beauty spent 22 months in high quality French oak barrels, and if you’re looking for a premium cabernet that you most certainly won’t see in your neighbor’s cellar, look no further than this impressive bottling from TOPOS…

Their first vintage was 2008, and the wine has built a greater following with each and every vintage.  The 2012 is arguably their best wine that they’ve ever produced and the first vintage sourced from two of Napa Valley’s most coveted mountain vineyards.  If you love the firm, intensely penetrating fruit of mountain cabs, you’ll want to secure a case while supplies of this limited wine are available…

Description

2012 TOPOS “NAPA VALLEY” CABERNET SAUVIGNON

Winemaker’s Notes: “2012 Topos Cabernet Sauvignon is the tale of two mountains, Spring Mountain and Mount Veeder AVA. Comprised of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot; barrel aged in French Oak for 22 months. Seductive nose of violets, plums, ripe cherry, anise, minerality and dry earth. ON the palate notes of black currant, plums, baking spices, mocha, vanilla and a hint of blueberry. Well integrated, sturdy yet polished tannins, concentrated red and dark fruits dance and coat your palate with a long mouth watering cherry, cassis, dusty black currant and chocolate truffle finish. Well-balanced elegant wine enjoyed now (after decanting) or age gracefully 2015-2030)”
